Cary H. Smith has more than thirty years of diversified healthcare senior leadership experience and has concentrated for the last twenty years on high performance provider network development for self-funded employers, self-funded business consortia, third party administrators as well as specialty population such as correctional healthcare and government sponsored programs.
Cary pioneered the concept of analyzing provider cost reports to develop proprietary network pricing models for hospitals. Cary and his teams through Clarion Management Solutions and Employers Health Network and their employer clients have developed focused and high-performance networks nationwide. As a result, Cary knows and is trusted by senior leadership at many large hospital corporations, as well as many individual hospitals around the U.S. Cary also has industry recognized experience articulating value to underwriters and actuaries for reinsurance/stop loss firms nationally.
Cary has a BS in business administration with a minor in Statistics from the University of Central Florida, as well as a master’s in business administration from the George Herbert Walker School of Business at Webster University in St. Louis Missouri.
