DAYTONA BEACH, Fla., May 1, 2023 – Brown & Brown announced today the appointment of Michael Gehman as a vice president of aviation. Gehman has extensive experience working in a variety of roles within insurance agency operations, including the placing, servicing, brokering and front-line underwriting for commercial property and casualty customers across various industries. His aviation experience includes full-service FBO line service and airline ramp agent/ground operations.

As the vice president of aviation, Gehman will be responsible for brokering existing aviation customers and collaborating with internal resources to help capitalize on new and existing opportunities for them aviation team.

In joining the team, Gehman said, “I am excited to join the Brown & Brown aviation team. I look forward to combining my insurance knowledge with my lifelong passion for aviation to help better serve our customers.”

Gehman is a graduate of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He is a chartered property and casualty underwriter (CPCU), certified insurance counselor (CIC) and holds an associate in risk management (ARM). He also is a private pilot and holds a UAS remote pilot certificate.
