Your Questions, Answered

Regardless of size, all livery yard’s face potential liabilities and property risks. Our team will discuss your requirements to establish exactly what cover your require.

Yes, our Care, Custody and Control coverage specifically addresses this.

Due to the nature of equine public liability policies all horses on the premises need to be included. If you have separate horse insurance for your own horse, this covers the horse for public liability for its own use whilst being ridden.

For example if a horse was to escape from its stable or field and then injure a third party your public liability for the premises would cover this. The claimant would claim again your yard insurance not your horse insurance. This is the reason we include all horses for a yard public liability.

Under our freelance policy you will be covered for public liability for injury or third party property damage whilst you are teaching. This policy also covers you for grooming, schooling, clipping and handling your clients’ horses.

We cannot cover you for teaching on your own horse. We would offer you a riding school policy subject to a riding school licence being in place.
