\n Brown & Brown Expands Aviation Team With Additions of Birch, Otkin and Promotion of King\n <\/h1>\n\t\n <\/div>[vc_column_text]DAYTONA BEACH, Fla.<\/strong>, March 23, 2022<\/strong> \u2013 Brown & Brown is pleased to announce the expansion of its aviation team with the addition of new teammates.<\/p>\n

This will collectively benefit Brown & Brown customers both in the domestic United States and internationally. These new additions bring significant experience and knowledge related to complex aviation risks and underwriting practices.<\/p>\n

Craig Birch has joined the team as the vice president of the aviation team. Birch joins from AIG Aerospace; he has over 17 years of aviation experience, including underwriting airports, corporate aircraft, MRO facilities, service providers, rotor-wing operations, aircraft product manufacturers, municipalities and universities. He has also logged over 4,000 hours of flight time and holds a Federal Aviation Administration Airline Transport certificate. Birch is responsible for brokering existing customers, maintaining underwriting relationships and collaborating with the sales team on new and existing opportunities.<\/p>\n

Jessi Otkin joins the team as the assistant vice president of aviation. Before joining Brown & Brown, Otkin was responsible for managing and servicing a large\u00a0aviation insurance customer portfolio. In addition to her aviation knowledge, she has a diversified professional background that includes work in employee benefits and personal and commercial risk management. She will be responsible for servicing our customers while designing insurance solutions to address their aviation needs.<\/p>\n

A current member of the aviation team, Kim King has been promoted to assistant vice president. King has been with the organization since 2019 and has been instrumental in the team\u2019s continued success. In her new role, King will continue to support the broader team while providing strategic solutions to our customers. King has over 30 years of insurance experience, which includes customer service, underwriting and broker roles.<\/p>\n

The aviation team is led by Alison Wynne, who has helped establish Brown & Brown as a leading aviation insurance broker. Wynne is also a licensed pilot and has worked in the aviation industry for over 18 years. She has extensive experience in the placement and servicing of insurance for a variety of aviation entities and is an active member of several national and regional aviation associations. Wynne is currently serving on the Brokers Committee for the Aircraft Builders Council and was voted by a group of her peers to be on the Executive Board of the Minnesota Business Aviation Association (MBAA). She is also currently serving as the president of the MBAA.<\/p>\n
